About
“I am the sea and no one owns me.” -pippi longstocking
I seek to question why I create and where I create from. Embracing the perpetual itch of what it means to be an evolution, as well as a question mark, my art is a reflection of the precipice in following the call of the center of the spiral; in tracing the echo all the way down.
Blending earthy with opulent, sensuality with abstraction, and conscious with subconscious, I do this through allowing a doorway to open between the animal of my body and the howl of my instincts to touch the physical mediums of expression. Witnessing a collision of the internal and external landscapes coalesce to form new physical realities, objects and symbols with words, metal, clay and pigments.
It is here; in investigating the timeless transformation of creation through self where I am free from thought, perceived perfections, linear regulations and conditioned behavior to revel in the ancient, primordial completeness of being. Forging a love child that is sovereign acts play and devotion, as equally as sacred-reservoir and sharp edge. I become the vessel, as much as the medium; with an identity wholly itself and yet, not its own.
Nectar Forge is the stage for the art lab where I get to share my explorations and creations with you all.
